MET Éireann has issued a status yellow weather warning for the Anglo-Celt region beginning tonight.
The 24-hour status yellow rain warning for Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Cork, Tipperary and Waterford begins at 11pm tonight and ends at the same hour on Wednesday night.
The national weather forecaster warns of flooding, poor visibility and difficult travelling conditions during this period.
Elsewhere in the country, a status yellow wind warning has been issued for parts including Meath, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow and Dublin with Met Éireann predicting strong and gusty southeasterly winds.
