DRAMA FESTIVAL
WHERE: Íontas Theatre, Castleblayney
WHEN: Runs to Saturday, March 7
WHAT: The final four nights of the annual festival, held under the auspices of the ADCI. Performances begin at 8pm nightly, except for the final night which starts at 7.30pm.
Wednesday, March 4: Holywood Players present the classic thriller Deathtrap by Ira Levin; Thursday, March 5: Lislea Dramatic Players bring Thornton Wilder’s Our Town to the Íontas stage; Friday, March 6: Clontarf Players present ‘I Never Sang for my Father’ by Robert Anderson; and on Saturday, March 7: Kilmuckridge Drama Group close the festival with Brian Friel’s ‘The Communication Cord’.

Cavan Drama Festival

WHAT: Eden - Eugene O'Brien's award-winning play about an unhappily married couple living in the midlands kicks off eight nights of exceptional drama on the doorstep. Carlow Little Theatre Society will be the first troupe to take to the stage.

WHAT: Come along to the vintage video night to see Emyvale Drama Society’s Pantomime ‘Cinderella’ from 1985, the year the Leisure Centre opened. Evening includes live music and refreshments. Admission €10; show starts 7pm. A vital fundraiser to newly completed roof.
Football blitz

WHAT: Underage football blitz organised by Shannon Gaels at the pitch in Glangevlin. There will be some craft stalls and treats in the adjoining St Patrick’s Hall.
