MEET OUR SPONSORSAIB MONAGHAN
As the Monaghan Business & Tourism Awards 2026 celebrate the achievements and vision of local enterprise, AIB Monaghan is honoured to be a proud sponsor of this prestigious occasion. This event not only recognises the outstanding businesses and individuals shaping Monaghan’s future, but also reflects our commitment to supporting growth, innovation, and community spirit.
Aoife Mackie, Branch Manager, AIB Monaghan and her team would like to extend their warmest congratulations to all finalists, your dedication, resilience, and creativity inspire us all.
AIB’s presence in Monaghan is rooted in three branches that serve as hubs for customers and community: Carrickmacross, Castleblayney, and Monaghan Town. Each branch plays a vital role in providing financial solutions, expert advice, and a welcoming environment for customers and local enterprises. Our teams know the value of personal connection, and they strive to deliver service that meets the needs of the businesses and people who make this county thrive.
SERVICES
In Monaghan, AIB provides financing, advisory and banking services across most major sectors, particularly agriculture and food, small to medium enterprise, retail services and increasingly, sustainability and technology.
In recent years, AIB has embarked on a significant programme of investment, underscoring our commitment to modern banking and local accessibility across our AIB and EBS branches. This year, we are proud to announce a €26 million branch upgrade initiative across Ireland. Among the most notable improvements are the installation of new Cash and Cheque Lodgement (CCL) machines, making everyday banking faster, safer and more convenient for customers and businesses alike.
These latest upgrades build on the momentum of our previous €40M investment in branch modernisation, which laid the foundation for technological advancements and improved customer experience. The ongoing development ensures that our Monaghan branches will remain at the forefront of service delivery, providing reliable access to essential banking facilities while adapting to the evolving needs of the community.
INCLUSION
Accessibility and inclusion are central to AIB’s ethos.
The recent branch upgrades include enhanced accessibility features, such as improved ATM and CCL machine access for those with mobility needs. Furthermore, all three AIB branches in the county have achieved Autism Friendly Accreditation, demonstrating our commitment to creating a supportive environment for neurodiverse customers. We also offer language interpretation services to support customers who may have challenges communicating in English, particularly when it comes to their banking needs, to make financial life easier for them in Ireland
AIB supports local communities in County Monaghan by engaging directly with groups such as Clones Women’s Shed and Blayney Blades. Through these initiatives AIB provides important information on staying safe online, including how to recognise scams and protect personal financial details to help improve digital awareness and builds confidence amongst customers.
AIB’s community focus extends beyond the branch doors. The AIB Community €1M Fund is designed to empower local charities and causes, providing vital support where it matters most. From May 2026 we encourage nominations from County Monaghan and the wider region, especially for organisations that make a real difference in people’s lives. This fund is a testament to our belief in the power of community, and we invite everyone to participate by nominating local charities for consideration.
As sponsors of the Monaghan Business & Tourism Awards 2026, AIB Monaghan is proud to celebrate the achievements of local businesses and to invest in a brighter future for all. Our branches in Carrickmacross, Castleblayney, and Monaghan town are ready to support every step of your journey, whether you are a business owner, entrepreneur, or community leader. With continued investment, enhanced accessibility, and a strong community focus, AIB remains committed to Monaghan’s success today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.
