AXA’s presence in Cavan over many decades will be reflected this year in its sponsorship of the Hall of Fame Award at The Anglo-Celt Community & Sports Awards.

Cavan has been part of that story for over 50 years. The branch first began serving customers under the PMPA name in 1974 before becoming AXA and has been serving the local community ever since.
Today, AXA Cavan is located in a distinctive listed building at 25 Farnham Street. Inside is a close-knit team led by Branch Manager Majella McCann, with colleagues Noeleen Calvert, Michelle Calvert and Cian Malone. Together, they have more than 60 years’ experience in insurance and strong roots in both Cavan and Monaghan.
Many local people will know the team not only from visiting the branch, but also from meeting them at agricultural and trade shows across the region over the years. These events have been an important way for the branch to stay involved in local life and keep in touch with the community.

The loyalty shown by staff and customers alike reflects that approach. Some former team members in Cavan gave more than 45 years of service, and many customers who first insured with the office in the 1970s are still with AXA today, often now alongside the next generation of their families.
