Knockbride win two from two as championship continues
Knockbride continued their impressive championship form with a six point victory over Bailieborough.
Having bagged four goals in beating Drumgoon last week, Thursday night saw them net two more goals - off the boots of Lorcan Reilly and Ciaran Smith - in Kingspan Breffni in beating their neighbour on a scoreline of 2-14 to 0-14.
That leaves Bailieborough without a win from their opening two matches having been lost out to Butlersbridge in the opening round.
Last night's other Intermediate Championship match saw Munterconnaught edge out Killinkere on a scoreline of 1-16 to 1-15 at Dolan Park Ramor.
Battling Killinkere had made a great comeback, having trailed by nine at one stage, but Munterconnaught - who had lost heavily to Denn in the opening week - had the guile to see out this round two encounter by the minimum.
Killinkere meanwhile remain winless having lost out to Ballinagh in the first round.
Junior
In the Junior Championship, Kill Shamrocks had four points to spare over Shannon Gaels, 1-17 to 0-16.
Ben McIntyre hit the first half goal that helped propel the Blacklion team to victory.
Belturbet meanwhile made light work of Drumalee, with goals from Aaron Beaty, Donal McDonald (pen), and Zach Cosgrove helping the Rories to their second championship win from two.
