Bartley Mulligan, 5 Cathedral Road, Cavan and formerly Lacken, Ballinagh, Co. Cavan, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1, in the exceptional care of all the staff at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Margaret and his siblings Rose, Brian, John, Mike Joe, Packie, Maura, Margaret and Sr.Bridget.
Deeply regretted by his loving family, wife Kay, stepdaughter Samantha, stepson David, daughter in law Tania, grandchildren Jamie, Stephen and Denzil, great granddaughter Jodi, his brother Seamus (Br.Patrick, Capuchin Brothers), sisters liz and Celia, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, all his extended family, good neighbours and many friends. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
Bartley will repose at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan (H12C821) on this evening (Monday) from 5pm until 7pm.
Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning at 11.30 a.m in the Cathedral of S.s Patrick and Felim, Cavan and this will be followed by a cremation service in Lakelands Crematorium.

John Michael Beck, Inchicore, Dublin / Cavan. Friday, July 31, 2026. Late of Inchicore and formerly of the Netherlands. Peacefully with his wife and family by his side in the wonderful care of Our Lady's Hospice, Harold's Cross. Predeceased by his parents Hans and Shirley.
Loving and devoted husband of Martina Smith. John will be greatly missed by Martina, his sisters Vivian and Susie, their husbands Tristian and Robert, his mother in-law Maureen (Cavan) sisters in-law Olive (Jan), Dympna (Alec) and Nicola (Eamon), his niece Evelyn, nephews David, Tom, Luke and Paul, relatives, friends and neighbours.
Reposing at his residence on Wednesday, August 5, between the hours of 5pm and 8pm. House strictly private outside of these hours, thank you.
Removal on Thursday to Mount Jerome's Victorian Chapel, Harold's Cross (D6W HY98) arriving at 2:30pm for a celebration of John's life.

Noeleen O’Hara (née Maguire), Registered General Nurse, Drumcondra, Dublin and formerly Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan, who passed peacefully, surrounded by those she loved and who were devoted to her, on Saturday, August 1, 2026.
Pre-deceased by her son Thomas, her father John and her brother Paul.
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Noeleen will be forever loved and deeply missed by her mother Kathleen, husband Nickie, her children John, Michael, James and Kate, her grandchildren Riagáin, Ryleigh, Allie and Leo, her extended family, her wide circle of friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A woman of extraordinary resilience and profound strength, she met life’s challenges with courage, dignity and an unwavering spirit. Colourful in every sense of the word, she filled every room with laughter, warmth and a generous measure of devilment. She was the very best of craic, a generous heart with a rare gift for lifting spirits (and, when the occasion called for it, a glass of wine) for everyone around her.
Her kindness, loyalty and abiding love of life forged friendships that endured a lifetime. She leaves behind a treasury of cherished memories, her laughter and vibrant personality will be profoundly missed, yet never forgotten.

Rose Anne McNally (née Smith), Kilbride, Abbeylara, Co. Longford, and formerly of Shannow House, Ballinagh, Co. Cavan, daughter of the late Peter and Mary Anne Smith (née Olwill) and wife of the late John (Jack) McNally (late of Coolamber, Lisryan, Co. Longford).
Rose Anne passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, on Saturday August 1, 2026, with her daughter by her side. Deeply regretted by her loving daughter Mary Rose, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Predeceased by her husband Eddie, infant son Colm, sons Paul and PJ, grandson Brian, brothers and sisters.

Paddy was dearly loved and will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Kathleen, his sons Mark (Celine) and Andrew, daughter Glenda (Jarlath), his cherished grandchildren Ciara and Seán, sisters in law (especially Breda), brothers in law, nephews, nieces, all his extended family, good neighbours (especially Andrew Kane and Catriona and Aidan O'Reilly), all his carers (especially Carlinda), all his former colleagues and his many, many friends. Paddy's remains will leave his home in Moynehall on Wednesday morning at 11:30 a.m and will travel to the Cathedral of S.s Patrick and Felim, Cavan, arriving for a Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Following Mass the cortége will travel to St. Brigid's Cemetery, Killygarry (via Moynehall) for committal prayers and burial. Family flowers only please.
