Troy Parrott sparked the counterattack that led to Real Betis snatching a late winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Valencia on Tuesday night.

It was a positive contribution from the Dubliner on his La Liga debut, after manager Manuel Pellegrini introduced Parrott as a substitute in the 71st minute.

Parrott made an impact on his debut as he beat the offside trap before shooting narrowly wide.

In the 83rd minute at the Mestalla Stadium, Parrott showed his strength and skill to release Betis on the counterattack, with Pablo Garcia finishing the move with a fine strike.

Betis fans have been very excited by the €20 million signing of Parrott. The Seville-based club have now won their first two league games.

Parrott could make his home debut against Real Madrid on Friday, September 4th.
