Building for a greener future

Rooted in Ballyjamesduff, Wilton Recycling continues to grow while remaining committed to the community, its customers and a more sustainable future. More than 100 staff are employed between its Ballyjamesduff headquarters and Corranure site, with many living close and from the area.

This year, Wilton successfully renewed its ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications following reassessment, recognising strong standards in quality, environmental management, and occupational health and safety. Wilton Recycling was also named Best Green Business at the Anglo-Celt Business and Tourism Awards 2025.

Environmental investment continues across the business. Wilton has planted 45 acres of forestry and developed a biodiversity zone with native saplings, a wildflower meadow, wildlife pond and beehives. PV panels are also installed across all five locations across Ireland, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and supporting cleaner operations.

The household wheelie-bin service continues to grow steadily across Cavan. Collected materials are carefully sorted: recyclables are returned to productive use, while suitable residual waste is processed into Solid Recovered Fuel. This alternative fuel is used by cement manufacturers in place of traditional fossil fuels, helping dramatically reduce waste to landfill.

Through its Supporting Club and County programme, Wilton helps local GAA and sports clubs raise funds. New household wheelie-bin customers can nominate their club to receive a €100 donation towards jerseys, equipment and improved facilities.

Beyond Cavan, Wilton Recycling’s continued title sponsorship of the Donegal International Rally brings the name of a locally founded business to an international audience.
