Loreto College Cavan is entering an exciting new chapter, with growing enrolment, excellent examination results and investment in the school’s facilities, programmes and future.

Students once again performed exceptionally well in the State Examinations, continuing Loreto’s long and proud tradition of academic achievement. The school is also particularly proud of its Leaving Certificate Applied students, whose outstanding results, including Distinctions across the group, underline the strength and success of the programme. Across all areas of the school, there is a strong focus on ensuring that students are supported, challenged and given every opportunity to achieve their potential.

Enrolment continues to increase, with strong demand for places and more families choosing Loreto College Cavan each year. As the leading all-girls secondary school in County Cavan and the Diocese of Kilmore, Loreto continues to combine its rich tradition and values with an ambitious and forward-looking approach to education.

That ambition can be seen right across the campus. A major redevelopment of the school’s science facilities is currently underway, including the modernisation of three laboratories. Further improvements to teaching spaces, student facilities and the wider school environment are also progressing as the school continues to grow and develop.

Sport and extracurricular life remain central to the Loreto experience. The school is delighted to be developing a partnership with Cavan LGFA, which will further enhance sporting opportunities and facilities for students in the years ahead.
