Truagh win the Intermediate Championship

2025 runners-up Truagh won the Monaghan LGFA Intermediate Championship when they held off a strong challenge from Latton in an exciting final at Gavan Duffy Park.

Five points from Morgan McKenna helped Truagh lead by 0-9 to 0-4 on 22 minutes, but a Shauna Coyle goal gave Latton hope as they trailed by 0-10 to 1-5 at half-time.

Goals in the early stages of the second half by Caoimhe Moran (Truagh) and Eimile Culleton (Latton) left little between the teams as the momentum continued to ebb and flow.

Points from Ciara Mulligan and Louise Dempsey helped keep Latton in contention right to the end, but Morgan McKenna and Moran finished with a combined 1-10 as Truagh got over the line by the minimum: 1-15 to 2-11.
