Dippers in pink risk turning blue

As Butlersbridge GAA was getting ready for a club victory, local swimmers gathered at Annagh Lake for a different kind of triumph: the Annagh Lake Dippers' annual 'Swim in Pink' event.

Over 60 brave swimmers took to the nippy waters, all in an effort to raise vital funds for CUAN, the local cancer support center. The bracing temperatures were warmed by community spirit and the lively rhythms of the Mammoth Street Band, whose samba beats brought a carnival feel to the shoreline. Attendees were also treated to music from a talented ukulele duo.

Following the swim, participants and supporters gathered to share tea, coffee, and an impressive spread of home-baked goods.

CUAN are grateful to the Annagh Lake Dippers, the Mammoth Street Band, the musicians, and everyone who baked, swam, or volunteered to make the day a success. Members of the public are encouraged to keep the momentum going by contacting CUAN directly to donate to this worthy cause.
