Doctor 365 in Cavan Town has been nominated in the Excellence in Customer Service category at the Cavan Business and Tourism Awards. The walk-in GP clinic offers patients access to a doctor on the day.
The service operates seven days a week, including bank holidays and over the Christmas and New Year period and provides all the services you would expect from your GP including blood tests and health screening.
General Manager Svetlana Grodzicka said: “This service is brilliant. You can just walk in. If you’re registered, you can be seen within five or 10 minutes. If you’re not, you fill in the form, but you will be seen by the doctor that day.”
When asked about customer feedback, Svetlana said: “We have very welcoming receptionists, and patients tell us they can see that we’re very open to them. We approach every patient who walks through the doors professionally. A lot of people say the service is needed.”
Grodzicka said she spent about two years persuading the company director to open in Cavan after seeing local patients travel to the Mullingar clinic for same-day care.
The Cavan clinic now has a five-person team of three receptionists and two doctors, while Svetlana manages six clinics across the island.
She said affordability is a key part of the service, with a consultation fee of €50. That is €10 less than the €60 she said she pays to visit her own GP, making same-day medical care more accessible to patients who may already be under pressure.
Doctor 365 aims to combine a reasonable price with good-quality care, professional treatment and the reassurance that patients can see a doctor on the day they need one.
