Local children with complex needs face losing after school support

Twenty five families could be at risk of losing after school support for their children with complex needs as a local service provider may face closure if they do not receive additional funding.

Little Wonders in Castleblayney provides an after school service, Saturday club and camps for children with intellectual disabilities and their families.

The Celt understands that due to inadequate funding, the early intervention centre may be forced to close the doors before the end of the year.

The facility recently increased their capacity by moving to a larger premises during the summer.

They were also awarded Outstanding Small to Medium Business at the inaugural The Anglo-Celt Monaghan Business and Tourism Awards earlier this year.
