Provisional liquidator for Bailieboro company
The High Court today appointed a provisional liquidator to a Bailieboro company with over 50 employees. Flair International, which has debts of €4.5m, sought the appointment of a provisional liquidator in the interest of the company's creditors and with a view to protecting some of those employed with the firm. Ms Justice Mary Laffoy appointed Mr Simon Coyle of Mazars. It sells and designs bath and shower screens which are sold in Ireland, the UK and in Europe. It owes almost €4.5m and two of its main creditors are Bank of Ireland and The Revenue Commissioners. Local councillor, Paddy McDonald, who works at the company, told Northern Sound radio it was a "major blow" for the town.
