Charity cycle for Cavan Autism Parents Support (CAPS) group

This Sunday, September 11, Vincent and Martina Dolan will host their 10th annual Three Province Cycle in aid of Cavan Autism Parents Support (CAPS).

This yearly event has gone from strength to strength with more cyclists joining each year. There are three distances - 80KM, 45KM and 15KM.

Registration for all races on the day from 8am at Mullahoran Hall in Killydoon.

The inspiration of Bernie Nelson, CAPS is a registered charity and the first of its kind in Cavan. It was set up to support the parents and carers, and children and adults living with autism in County Cavan and surrounding counties. It is run by parents, carers, and volunteer workers. CAPS provides a wide range of events and activities including camps, day trips, social clubs such as their Computer Club and Saturday Club and monthly social mornings.

Trina Boylan, CAPS administrator, is urging people to get involved and to support this important fundraiser for the group.

"Thank you everyone who has signed up to participate so far this year. If you are interested in attending the event please contact us. Full details can be found on our Facebook page - CAPS Annual 3 Province Charity Cycle.

"Thank you to everyone for your continued support and once again we would like to thank the Dolan family. Thank you for continuing to support to CAPS with this event. We are truly grateful for all of the hard work, commitment and dedication you give to ensure this event is so successful each year," said Trina.

She encouraged everyone to "enjoy the day" and, above all, "stay safe".
