Cavan Tastes Great!

Tens of thousands of foodies make their way to the Cavan today as the county cements it's reputation as a foodie destination. The annual Taste of Cavan food fiesta runs from August 10-11 but today is the last day at the Equestrian Centre venue.

The culinary extravaganza has an expanded offering of the best local and regional food, craft produce, and a star-studded line-up of Ireland’s top chefs
Patrons will experience up close the cookery skills of luminaries such as Richard Corrigan, Rachel Allen, Neven Maguire, Gearóid Lynch, Simon Delaney, TV chef Adrian Martin, Pastry maestro Shane Smith, ‘My Donegal Table’ author, chef and hotelier Brian McDermott, Bord Bia’s Máire Dufficy, and many more in the Ulster Bank Chef’s Kitchen.
There will be a range of free samples, free parking, a free kids zone and a local link bus ferrying visitors to the event from the town centre.

Entry is €7 per adult and children are free of charge.

Food Trail

This year’s Taste of Cavan also features a ‘Taste of Cavan Food Trail’, running on Saturday and Sunday throughout Cavan Town where local food outlets will be offering some great value bargains.
