Cavan's 'Wee Daniels' set to star

A group of talented young Cavan performers are hoping to wow the judges on Ireland’s Got Talent later tonight with their tribute act to one of Ireland's greatest music artists.

In homage to the King of Irish Country, 'The Wee Daniels' include Finn Dolan (9), Robert Johnston (13), Jack O Sullivan (12), Rian Sheridan (9), David Rubotham (9).

All are students of The Performance Academy in Cavan Town, and are set to take to the stage in the hope of being backed to go forward in the competition by judges Louis Walsh, Michelle Visage, Jason Byrne and Denise Van Outen.

The group of boys love performing and thought it would be fun to perform songs from one of Ireland’s greatest sons.

Their dream meanwhile is to one day even perform with the legendary Donegal-native himself.

Auditioning for the judges is their proudest moment to date, and one of the wee Daniels Rian even once met his hero.

The group are also really excited to meet Louis - him being their favourite judge. “They have put lots of effort into their performance and can’t wait to get on that stage,” a spokesperson said.

Tune in to cheer on and see how Cavan's 'Wee Daniels' fare out.

Presented by Lucy Kennedy, Ireland's Got Talent will air tonight on TV3 and Virginia Media One, Saturday, February 9 at 7.30pm.
