Cavan's Got Talent Junior to kick off this Sunday

The time has finally come - the eagerly awaited Junior Cavan's Got Talent kicks off with its first show of the season this Sunday in the Imperial Bar, Cavan. This is the first year that the production will play host to a junior age group, and the excitement is building as the final preparations are taking place. "We are thrilled that we had a wonderful response and the 20 young contestants who were lucky enough to be successful at audition stage will now take to the main stage in the Imperial this Sunday afternoon hoping that they will come out on top at the end of the evening," said organiser Linda O'Reilly. The county is well and truly represented with bright young stars from Ballyhaise to Bailieboro, Lacken to Laragh and Cavan Town to Crosserlough to mention but a few! Full credit must be given to all of those who came to audition as it is a scary prospect to sing in front of strangers in unfamiliar surroundings so a massive well done to all, but bravery brings rewards and Junior Cavan's Got Talent brings the greatest of rewards with a massive €5,000 Cash prize fund! Anyone would be thrilled with the prospect of getting our hands on it so it's fair to say that's a lot a dosh for any of the budding stars to get started on the road to success! The ever popular Paul Cox will take the reigns as MC and organisers have some very glamorous judges to oversee proceedings and give advice and guidance to all of the contestants. "It is a competition as all talent shows are but there is no other experience quite like this for gaining confidence and we hope that it will be a fun and positive experience and enrich all those involved by making new friends and growing in confidence week on week in front of a large audience who support them fully," said Linda. As always it is audience and judges voting and contestants will be eliminated each week so if you want to see your local little star be the pride of the parish, make your way to the Imperial and see what the next generation have to offer. The family friendly afternoon shows will last for six weeks culminating in the grand final on St. Patrick's Day when that massive €5,000 prize fund will be won. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian without exception. Doors open at 3.30pm and the show will start at 4pm so don't miss out on this fabulous event.
