What: “Tom Clarke’s One True Love’, written by Killian McGuinness and performed by the Corn Mill Theatre Group, dramatises the public and private life of the 1916 leader Tom Clarke.

What: John and Rosemary McCaffrey celebrate 25 years as proprietors of their bar and lounge in Redhills village. All invited.

summer event
Where: Shercock Athletic Club
When: Friday, July 22 at 7.30pm
What: Shercock AC are hosting a mid-summer fun event at the track. It consists of a family 5k walk/run/jog with a barbecue afterwards. Registration €10.

RDT GOt Talent

Golf Classic

What: Ballyhaise GAA Club are hosting a Golf Classic in Cavan Golf Club. There are prizes for first, second and third teams and for longest drive and nearest the pin. A team of 4 costs €120 and tee sponsorship costs €50.

Bruskey Festival

What: Bruskey Festival includes a tea party in the marquee, dancing to Ciaran Rosney, a family fun day, golf ball race, Starz on the Night, dancing to Christy and Mono, Tractor Run, 5/10k Charity Walk/Run, music in marquee by The Hartones, and Shane Owens. (See Ballintemple news, p31.)

Stand Dedication

What: Killinkere GFC dedicate the stand at Jim Smith Memorial Park to club legend, the late Aidan Cullen. Promises to be a great evening, full of memories and football, with entertainment in the lounge afterwards.

Mountainlodge barn dance

When: Saturday night, July 23.
What: Music by the Outlaws. Refreshments served at 9.30pm. Proceeds are in aid of Temple Street Hospital and the Childrens Ward Cavan General Hospital.

59th arva
Agri show
Where: Arva
When: Sunday, July 24
What: The 59th Annual Arva Agricultural Show will take place at the grounds of Philomena Fyfe, free family entertainment and car parking provided. The ever-popular Show Dance will be held in the Breffni Arms Hotel that night with music by Robert Mizzell.
