Drama Group

What: Aisteoiri Muinchille, the local drama group is polishing up 'I Do Not Like Thee, Dr Fell', a rip-roaring comedy for presentation in Drumlin House Theatre, on Friday, March 31, Saturday, April 1 at 8.30pm and on Sunday, April 2 at the new time of 4.30pm. Cast includes Mary B Kelly, Dermot Hogan, Jim McQuaid, Sara Watson, John Meehan, Paul McPhillipsand Margaret Bannon - direction by Larry McCluskey, with the usual back-stage crew in active support. The play is one of Bernard Farrell's very best!

Music Night

What: Music night will be held in O’Hara’s Lounge, Arva with the proceeds going to Temple Street Children’s Hospital. Come along and hear local and visiting artists share songs from yesteryear and some local ones in what should be a great night’s entertainment. Proceedings will get underway at 10pm.

House Husband

Memorial Cycle

Cavan County Museum Lecture

What: Lecture celebrating The Life and Times of Captain Tom Sheridan, Drumcrow, Ballinagh – Followed by a Lecture on The Ballinagh Battalion, Cavan Brigade by Johann Farrelly on Saturday, April  1 at 3pm. Everyone welcome.


Annual Fundraising Cycle
Where: Castlerahan
When: Sunday, April 2
What: Castlerahan Community Development Annual Cycle  commencing at the Community Centre at 10am. There will be a 70K and 30K route both of which travel through counties Cavan and Meath. Refreshments will be served afterwards. Proceeds in aid of Castlerahan Community Development Ltd. Everyone is very welcome to come along to take part.


North Longford Angling Club
Where: Keeldra Lake, Ballinamuck

What: A boat pike fishing competition on Sunday, April 2 on Keeldra Lake, Ballinamuck. Fishing will be from 11am-5pm. Check-in will be at the lake. All are welcome.


Sillan Vintage Club
Where: Shercock

What: First run of the year. Registration at 11am and leaving from School Car Park, Shercock at 12pm. Refreshments served afterwards in St. Patrick's Hall, Shercock. Gardening Club

What: Ballinagh Gardening Club meet on Monday, April 3 in Ballinagh Community Centre at 8pm and will celebrate their 25th anniversary with finger food and cake, and with special speaker Kim Rickey from Pipers Hill Nursery, Newtownbutler, topic Summertime Planting etc, with items for sale on the night. All are welcome, non-members €5 nightly.
