Arva Show entries close next Tuesday

The deadline for entries to the Arva Agricultural Show closes next Tuesday, July 19; with the show itself to take palce on Sunday, July 24.
The 59th annual show will take place on the show grounds by kind permission of its owner Philomena Fyfe.
With over €13,000 of a prize fund available across 200 plus classes, there is plenty of choice for people looking to enter in either the Livestock or Home Industries Sections. The committee is encouraging entries, in particular, in the Vegetable and Baking Sections.
Entries will be taken on the day only for Dog Show, 'Bonny Baby’ and the Most Appropriately Dressed Lady and Gent.

Qualifiers
There are 18 qualifiers across a range of categories and classes in the show, including 15 All-Irelands.
The Irish Tug Of War Championship finals will also take place at the show as clubs from all over Ireland pull competitively against each other for national prizes.
Over six different weight classes will be competing on the day.
Free family entertainment and carparking will also be provided on show day.
The ever-popular Show Dance will be held in the Breffni Arms Hotel, Arva, that night with music by Robert Mizzell.
Entry forms can be found on www.arvashow.com and posted to: Arva Show Secretary, Arva, Co Cavan, or emailed to secretary@arvashow.com
