Driver stable after crash

A 21-year-old driver remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital following a crash near Stradone at the weekend.
Gardaí in Cavan Town are investigating the single-vehicle road traffic collision in which the male driver and sole occupant of the car was injured.
The incident happened shortly after midnight last Sunday, September 21, on the R165 at Tullycoe close to Stradone village, approximately 2km from the N3 Cavan/ Dublin Rd.
It’s understood the vehicle hit a bridge.
The man was brought by ambulance to Cavan General Hospital.
The road was closed for sometime to facilitate a forensic collision investigation and local diversions were put in place.
