Armed raid on kingscourt newsagents
Gardaí in Bailieborough are appealing for witnesses after an armed raid on a newsagents in Kingscourt last night.
A masked man, carrying what was described as a chopping knife, entered the newsagents on Church Street at around 10pm. He confronted a 21-year-old female shop assistant, threatened her and demanded money.
The raider made off with a sum of money, which is not being disclosed. He made good his escape in a black BMW in the direction of Nobber.
The shop assistant was not injured but shaken up by the incident.
