Cavan Community Workshop is hosting the night which is pencilled in from 7.30pm to 10pm.

'The Ireland 2016 Centenary Programme was launched at the end of March and, since then, has been holding open meetings across the length and breadth of the country, inviting local individuals and communities to get involved and to come up with their individual local County plans,' said a spokesperson for the department.

'There has been strong interest in the programme in Cavan and the department is looking forward to hearing the ideas and plans from the participants attending on the night.

'Minister Humphreys would welcome the opportunity to talk about the Ireland 2016 programme and to bring your readers up to date with what's happening.'
