Strypes back for hometown gig tonight

This Christmas, Cavan’s four wise men, The Strypes, will find their way to Townhall Cavan, where they will host their all singing, all dancing, and a fair bit of prancing ‘Christmas Knees-Up’  tonight.

A Strypes concert like no other, this not-so-silent night sees the teen rock sensations teaming up with Townhall Cavan’s creative team to deliver a full stage show with unique theatrical performance. Anyone who witnessed the unhinged festival of the freaky that was Townhall’s Halloween ‘Ship of Fools’ will know this is not to be missed.

This epic hometown show will be a fitting conclusion to the year which saw the quartet of Ross Farrelly, Josh McClorey, Evan Walsh and Pete O’Hanlon prove that they were no one-trick pony, following the release of their triumphant sophomore album, ‘Little Victories’.

Hailed for its maturity and broader sound, while still retaining the band’s trademark youthful vigour, the songs of ‘Little Victories’ really come to life on stage, and the band will be at their blistering best in front of their home crowd.

While The Strypes tear it up in the Townhall’s Main Hall, the venue’s front room will host music and arts performances all night, and into the small hours, with lots of surprises along the way.

Tickets for The Strypes’ Christmas Knees-Up are priced at €20 and available now from Multisound Cavan on 049-4361312. This is an over 12s show.

The band is available for interview. For media enquiries, contact Townhall Cavan on 087-9556422 or email townhallcavanpr@gmail.com.
