Ballyconnell teenager Leona Maguire has won the French Lady Under 21 Championship and the Esmond Trophy. She beat Klara Spilkova, from the Czech Republic at Saint Cloud in Paris recently in a sensational performance.

Leona won the Under 18 French title the previous year at just 13 years old and this victory is proof of the remarkable progress she has made in the meantime.

Both twins were in action in the Inter-provincials last weekend representing Ulster.
