St Patrick’s, Cavan 1-9
St Patrick’s Dungannon 1-6

Paul Fitzpatrick

Forty-one long years had passed since St Patrick's College, Cavan last landed the famed Corn na nÓg cup but that famine was ended yesterday in Scotstown, Co Monaghan with a hard-earned three-point win over St Pat's, Dungannon.

And the winning goal was worthy of the occasion as Cavan Gaels lad Bradley Okapje came off the bench to score a superb soccer-style three-pointer with time almost up.

The win was reward for the hard work of St Pat's coaches Ray Hogan and Shaun Doherty and their panel of players.
