VIDEO: Cavan crowd, Hyland and Clarke all in jubilant form after winning promotion

When the final whistle blew at Breffni Park on Sunday afternoon, the long-suffering fans of Cavan footballers let loose their emotions as they won promotion to NFL Division 1 in over a decade.

Terry Hyland's players were feted with a three minute standing ovation as they left the pitch having secured an impressive 1-16 to 1-12 win over Galway.

Speaking to reporters after the game, the Cavan manager said the players have achieved reaching Division 1, and now they have to look ahead to staying amongst the country's elite.

Killian Clarke looks forward to playing Tyrone in the Division 2 National League final in Croke Park in the coming weeks and insists that Cavan have players of the same calibre as the Division 1 teams such as Dublin and Kerry.
