Stunning All-Ireland success for Cavan U14 ladies

Cavan 4-6
Dublin 2-9

Cavan U14 ladies won their second-ever A All-Ireland title this afternoon in Dunleer, Co Louth with a stunning final win over Dublin.

First half goals from midfielders Ellyanna Madden and Letiza Sheridan helped Cavan – managed by Mick Flynn – into a five-point half-time lead.

And after the break, Sheridan raised another white flag as did impressive sub Bonnie McKiernan as Cavan slayed the giants of Dublin in a thrilling encounter.

The Leinster champions were quite wasteful but were put under a lot of pressure by a tenacious Breffni defence. Cavan excelled all over the field, with Gemma Beatty top scoring with five frees for the Ulster stars.
