TOP Oil acquires Fate Park

TOP Oil, a wholly owned trading subsidiary of Tedcastle Holdings ("Tedcastles"), has confirmed the acquisition of Fate Park Limited. Fate Park was established by John Sweeney in 1987 in Galway and is now a major fuel distributor in the West of Ireland with volumes of 200 million litres, a network of 15 locations and over 100 employees. General Manager of Top Oil and Butlersbridge native, Gerard Boylan, told The Anglo-Celt, "it is a great opportunity for Top Oil and strengthens our position as market leader in the West of Ireland. It further demonstrates our commitment to growth through acquisition and investment in local community along side business." TOP Oil is a 100% Irish-owned fuel importation and distribution business. It recently acquired Cloverhill Oils, Cloverhill from Edwin Mahood in July 2008. Gerard stated: "We are delighted with the acquisition of Cloverhill Oils, Edwin ran a good business and it has transferred across well to our network." Edwin, is still very much involved in the running of the business and is being supported by Ronan Flanagan, area sales representative and Jody Devine from Meath as business development manager. TOP Oil is part of the Tedcastles Group, which has a trading history going back over 200 hundred years. With annual revenues of over €1 billion, TOP Oil employs over 300 people in Ireland. The company is probably best known for it nationwide network of 125 franchised service stations, along with a further 21 company-owned, 30 franchised oil distribution depots and 85 fuel card locations. TOP Oil operates from its own import terminal, a modern 55,000 tonne facility, in Dublin Port. The company supplies fuel to a wide range of customers in agriculture, commercial institutions, the fishing and naval industries, the haulage sector and domestic home-heating users.
