Warrants issued Bench warrants were issued at Bailieboro District Court, sitting in Virginia, for two foreign nationals when they failed to appear on charges of burglary, dangerous driving, and abusive behaviour. Denas Baniukaitis, a Lithuanian of 5 Park Glen, Grangerath, Drogheda, was charged that on September 23, 2009, at Cara Pharmacy, Main Street, Bailieboro, he stole goods to the value of €199. He was also charged entering the premises as a trespasser and with being abusive towards Lithuanian interpreter Ivona Jantiouskaja at Carrickmacross Garda Station. The defendant was further charged that on September 11 at O'Neill Street, Carrickmacross, he committed burglary. Justas Skorobogatovas, 29 Eastham Court, Bettystown, Meath, was charged with the burglary at Cara Pharmacy in Bailieboro and with dangerous driving at Tullynaegish, Tullynahinera, Castleblayney, on September 23. Another warrant was issued for Irina Koppel, 20 Convent Way, Ashington, Dublin 7, when she failed to appear on a charged that on February 17 at Tesco Kingscourt Road, Bailieboro, she stole an assortment of 14 console games valued €744.86. A warrant was issued for Michael Murphy, Drumderg, Aughnacliffe, for failing to appear on a charge of driving with excess alcohol at Drumroragh, Ballyjamesduff, on April 22, 2009. Careless driving A Meath motorist who came around a corner too fast and ended up on the wrong side of the road was convicted at Bailieboro District Court sitting in Virginia on a reduced charge of careless driving. David Dolan, 2 Senator Farrelly Avenue, Kilmainhamwood, Kells, was fined €500 for the offence at occurred at Dunaree, Kingscourt, on April 7. Inspector Fintan McTiernan said no other traffic was inconvenienced by the manouevre. Community service Louis Maguire, 49 Drumnaveil, Cootehill, was ordered to complete 150 hours of community service in lieu of six-months at Bailieboro District Court for failing to comply with a garda direction art Main Street, Kingscourt, on September 22, 2009. Cannabis Patrick King (23), Cragmore, Askeaton, Limerick, was ordered to donate €300 to the Cavan Drug Awareness Centre when he pleaded at Bailieboro District Court, sitting in Virginia, to possessing cannabis with a street value of €20 at Carrickgorman, Bailieboro, on June 20. Hydrocarbon oil Matthew Keaney, Keelderry, Kilnaleck, was fined €5,000, mitigate to €2,500 at Virginia District Court for using hydrocarbon oil (green diesel) in his vehicle at Derrylea, Ballyjamesduff, on January 26, 2009.
