Croí 8 (pronounced create, but with the Irish word for 'heart') is a new artists' collective from this region. Sound interesting? They are, and you can see their work at their first exhibition as a group, Up And At It. The dynamic group of eight visual artists from the border counties of Louth, Cavan and Monaghan, they have joined forces "to share ideas, experiment with concepts, create new work and exhibit both nationally and internationally". Up And At It opens on Thursday, June 3, at 6pm in The Athena Room at Sol Art Gallery, Dawson St, Dublin 2.
