Midnight madness sale and bonanza in Bailieborough

The entrepreneurial business people of Bailieborough have come up with the ideal value shopping experience as a recession buster. One of the driving forces behind this innovative initiative is Traders Association chairman, Aidan Clarke. He says the Midnight Madness sale this Thursday night, June 24 will be laced with bargains galore in all the shops, and reductions of up to 20% in some cases. This initiative is a follow-up to the success of a similar drive in October last year. It is all designed to coincide with the 400 anniversary celebrations in Bailieboro.Shoppers from the wide Bailieborough hinterland and well beyond will immediately notice the amazing discounted prices on offer in the shops. "The shops participating will be open on this Thursday night from 9pm right through until midnight and we are calling all shoppers to make a special effort to flock into the town for this great shopping bonanza," said Aidan. The shops that are opening from 9am right through to midnight are J&L Stores, R Lloyds, Sandi Modes, O'Reilly Shoes, Clarkes Albany, Finnegan's Drapery, La Mirage, Feel Good Fashions, Niall McCaul Drapery, Trend Setters, Jenning Jewellers, Market Stall, Hillary Keegan's and Greg Pets. Aidan Clarke is urging people to support the traders in this event and to call into the town on Thursday, June 24, and check out the special offers and to pick up a bargain. He explained that various shops including drapery, footwear, pharmacies, groceries, hardware will all be open until midnight.Aidan says that Bailieboro has a good catchment area and he adds that it is still a good vibrant business town "and we hope to keep it that way". Aidan who is in the hardware business pointed out that business is still ticking over despite the recession and people are still spending money but they are looking for good value for their hard-earned cash. "There is a lot more bargaining being done in the shops here in this town. We have an advantage in that area in this town and we openly encourage people to haggle over the price in a realistic manner. We want people to know we are open for business and we want the business.I would hope that every trader in the town is open to shoppers coming in to bargain with them," said Aidan.The Midnight Madness sale is designed to catch the imagination of shoppers with a view to showing them that it is well worth their while making Bailieboro their one-stop shopping centre now and in the future. Aidan also emphasised that all the business people in the town offer an excellent service.
