SVP plans for new centre on River Street
A local conference of St Vincent De Paul has plans to demolish five derelict houses on River Street and build a three-storey community centre. A spokesperson for the St Joseph's conference of the charity, which owns the entire terrace of properties with the exception of two privately owned, told The Anglo-Celt that they hope to lodge a planning application within the next two to three months detailing a new community building on the street on the banks of the river.
