Ballinamore teen 'holding her own' after transplant

Ballinamore teenager Meadhbh McGivern, who missed the opportunity of a liver transplant operation in London in July after State agencies failed to transport her in time, finally arrived in London in the early hours of last Thursday morning, for what turned out to be a "difficult and challenging operation". Meadhbh, who was into her second year on a waiting list for the operation, is now conscious and while in a considerable amount of pain, but she is described by her father Joe McGivern as "holding her own".
