Kilcogy compost facility in planning appeal

The decision by Cavan County Council to refuse planning permission for a controversial municipal sludge composting facility at Carnagh Upper and Cloncovet, Kilcogy, has been appealed to An Bord Pleanála. Rodney Wilton was refused permission for the proposed development, which has caused huge concern in the local area, prompting over 30 third party submissions, many of them outright objections, to the local authority on the planning file.
