Prestigious awards for Brady's Arva

Brady's of Arva celebrated two hugely important milestones in the history of their business on Friday November 11, winning the 2011 Volkswagen Service Quality award and the Volkswagen Gold Pin award for outstanding service to the brand. The Service Quality Award is one of the most prestigious in the entire industry. In all, some 6,300 Volkswagen retail business partners are entered for the award, spread across an incredible 27 countries. Brady's were voted best in Ireland and in the top 100 in Europe which, agreed general manager Padraig Brady, was testament to their hard-working staff. "This is our first time to be the outright winner in Ireland and we're delighted and very proud," he told The Anglo-Celt. "We feel that we have an excellent staff which contributes to the success of our workshop," he added, paying tribute to service manager Liam Dolan and receptionist Caroline McGahern. With a staff of around 20, Brady's is a very important business and their commitment to excellence, as exemplified by their award wins, underpins this. There was further good news for Brady's and Padraig Brady in particular when he was awarded the Gold Pin. Both awards were presented to Phil and Padraig Brady in the Breffni Arms Hotel at a gala event where all Brady's Arva Ltd staff and Volkswagen Ireland staff celebrated the success. Established in 1961, Brady's have gone from strength to strength. In 1983 they moved to a new premises on the outskirts of Arva and in 1986 they celebrated 25 years and Phil Brady won the prestigious Gold Pin. It was fitting, then, that 25 years later, Padraig Brady was presented with the same award for services to the brand as the company celebrated its half century. To mark their 50th anniversary, Phil and Padraig were presented with a specially-commissioned picture entitled "50 Years Driving Volkswagen Forward" by Alan Bateson, Volkswagen Ireland Aftersales manager. Simon Elliott, Volkswagen Ireland Managing Director, commented: "It's great to see people who have constantly developed and changed a business over 50 years and every day go to work to represented the Volkswagen brand in Co Cavan with motivation, passion and integrity. It is by having retail partners like Brady's Arva Ltd that we can be assured that we will achieve our strategic goal of becoming the best automotive brand in Ireland."
