Virginia and BJD fire stations on 'slow burner'

Councillors Shane P O'Reilly and Paddy Smith are not happy with the rate of progress in relation to the provision of new fire stations in Virginia and Ballyjamesduff. According to Cllr Shane P successive governments seemed to be dragging their heels on this issue and he found it reprehensible that the Department wasn't able to cut through the red tape in the relation to the provision of these very essential services. He said that the council were under the illusion that both Ballyjamesduff and Virginia were at the same level and he wanted this clarified.
