Contents of Castlecor House come to auction

The contents of a charming mid 18th century house located in beautiful rolling countryside on the Cavan/Meath border will go under the hammer at an auction on Sunday, March 11 at 1.30pm. Over 500 lots of good Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, antique mirrors, rugs, jewellery, porcelain, and art, from Castlecor House, Oldcastle, will come on the market, according to auctioneer Damien Matthews. He told The Anglo-Celt this week that the auction is sure to attract a lot of interest not only from Cavan and Meath but further afield as well. "The house contains many fine original antiques all to be sold on the day, with over 500 lots in total," said Damien.
