After being such a hit at last year's Fair Day, wrestling returns to Mullagh on Sunday.

The streets are alive with the sound of music... and wrestling

Mullagh's streets will be alive with music and arts tomorrow as street entertainers are set to compete for a prize pot of €1,000 at this year's eagerly anticipated Fair Day. Organisers have also lined-up a great selection of music from rock to trad including De Crashed, Say La V & Don Baker on the Main Stage. Back by popular demand are the giants of wrestling, who promise to put on a number of hard-hitting, entertaining bouts throughout the day. In addition to the street entertainment there will also be displays of traditional skills including poteen making (seriously), horse trading and hay making to name a few. The big hearted organising committee have acknowledged the added pressures of these recessionary times and have laid on free children's entertainment including the Village Farm Yard, where children can get muck around with the animals. Of course there will also be trading of cattle, horses, pigs, sheep and poultry, and last but certainly not least, there will also be a dog show. For further information on the dog show, contact Angela on 046 9242 123. All controlled breeds and their crossbreeds must be muzzled and kept under control at all times.
