Cootehill and Mountnugent advance

Cootehill will meet Lacken while Mountnugent take on Laragh in the IFC and JFC finals respectively following this evening's semi-finals. The Celtics kicked four goals, with Enda Hessin, Stevie O'Connor and Tom Hayes among the scorers, as they comfortably saw off a disappointing Swad, who had two men dismissed by ref Martin Sexton. Earlier, Mountnugent - inspired by midfielders David Givney and Tomas Brady - easily saw off a young Kildallan side, who scored just two points in the first half but rallied well late on before losing by five.
