Woman due in court over cannabis find

On Saturday (April 20), an intelligence-led operation by gardaí led to a drug seizure of cannabis herb worth an estimated €10,500 from an address in the Cross-Mullagh area.

Bailieborough detectives, operating on foot of a warrant arrested and later charged the woman with possession of cannabis for sale or supply.

She will appear in the court on May 7.

Meanwhile, over the weekend, and again as part of intelligence led operation by the Kells Garda Drug Unit assisted by the Regional Support Unit, Cannabis Plants and Herb with an estimated street value of €1.5m has been seized.

A search operation was carried out on a business premises last night in the Kells, Meath area. During the course of this search a large Cannabis cultivation operation, valued up to €1.5m was discovered (Cannabis plants & Cannabis herb subject to analysis)
