Det Gda Adrian Donohoe RIP.

Fresh appeal in Donohoe murder

Investigators in the murder of Kilnaleck Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe have issued a fresh appeal to the public for information into his cold-blooded killing.
Det Gda Donohoe was murdered by a criminal gang during a raid on a credit union in Lordship, Co Louth, where he lived, on the night of Friday, January 25.

His killer is thought to be in the US and gardaí carried out a series of searches in the Carlingford, Co Louth, area on Monday, April 29.
The searches were follow-ups from those made by the PSNI earlier in the month in south Armagh.
PSNI officers from the Serious Crime Branch seized mobile phones and documents when they searched four houses in south Armagh on Monday, April 8.
The 41-year-old father-of-two was shot in the head by a gang of five as he got out of his car to check why another vehicle had driven across the car park exit of the credit union.
It’s believed that after the shooting, the gang travelled in a blue Volkswagen Passat to Fews Forest outside Newtownhamilton, where it was burned out.
The chief suspect in the murder investigation was thought to have fled initially to Scotland but now he is believed to have escaped to the US.
The man, who is in his early 20s, with an address in the North, is facing a number of charges in the South.
The case was adjourned with the suspected gang-leader granted bail, as is his constitutional right.
