The Revenue's website for online property tax returns crashed today.

Property tax postal receipts deadline today

Today (Tuesday, May 7) is the deadline for the receipt of property tax returns by post.
Households in the county who have yet to register can no longer do so by post.
Property-owners still have a further three weeks, however, until May 28, to file online through the Revenue website - which crashed today with the amount of traffic through the site.
People who do not file by May 28 will have revenue commissioners estimate a deduction from their salary, bank account or social welfare.
So far, over 400,000 returns have been made, less than a quarter of the estimate due.
The property tax is levied at 0.18pc of house value on properties up to €1m.
The mid-point will be taken on each band, and the 0.18pc is applied to that figure to calculate the tax owed.
The average price of a home in County Cavan is now estimated at €120,000. Taking the mid-point in the relevant band of €125,000, the tax that will apply for the average home in the county will be €225 per year.
The tax kicks in from July 1, and only a half year is payable for 2013, with a full year’s tax payable from 2014 onwards.
