PROMO VIDEO:The Anglo-Celt Fantasy Football

In association with Hayes Expert and the Cavan County Board, The Anglo-Celt has become the first regional newspaper in Ireland to bring you a fantasy football tournament for a county championship.

A range of prizes will be available for winning individuals and clubs - including a new top-of-the-range smart TV from Hayes Expert, Club Breffni memberships from the County Board and jerseys.

Those who enter (entry is free of charge) will create a user’s account online. You will be asked to pick your dream team of 15 players from a list of players from Cavan clubs competing in the senior championship kicking off in July. You must pick 15 players, including a captain for your team and a manager. There will be a maximum number of three team players allowed on your dream team from any one club. You must also pick a name for your team (within the boundaries of decency) and indicate to which GAA club in County Cavan you have the closest affiliation to.

Points will be awarded following each round of games in the championship to all users as follows.

 

The leader board of entrants will be published every Wednesday in The Anglo-Celt print edition, as will the top fantasy football teams of the week and best performing clubs in the county (in terms of their members/supporters winning points with their chosen dream teams).

You must submit your team before the closing date of Monday the 15th of July, before the first game in the senior club championship.
