Lisa looks forward to Country Club slot this weekend
It’s all happening for the latest star bound for the Hotel Kilmore’s Country Club - Lisa McHugh - as she announced the official release of her new single entitled ‘Let’s Pretend We Never Met’, taken from her forthcoming album. This song is written by Kert Blazy and Leslie Satcher. Blazy has written many hits including “Ain’t Going Down Till the Sun Comes Up”, “If Tomorrow Never Comes” and many more. This single already has 7,000 ‘hits’ on YouTube.
A promotional video to coincide with the single has been shot on location in London and can now be seen on all relevant programmes on SKY Showcase Channel 191. Lisa commented “the video is especially themed and we hope the people get as much enjoyment watching it as much as we had shooting it” – so watch out!
Lisa and her band, who look forward to wowing the Country Club audience on Saturday, July 13, have added yet another award to their growing collection, when last May she received Female Vocalist of the Year 2013 at Ocean FM Annual Country Music Awards show in the Great Northern Hotel. A capacity crowd of excited fans and friends from over the North West and further afield heard Lisa graciously accept her award and dedicate it on behalf of them - without them she would not have achieved this.
Lisa is one of the artists supporting Nathan Carter at this year’s Dalriada Festival on July 13– 20 at Glenarm Castle, Co Antrim where 20,000 people are expected to attend.
Entertain
“My aim is to entertain the people as much as we possibly can,” she told TV presenters at the festival launch. “We are very lively on stage and tend to perform songs that everyone can relate to.”
Currently Lisa is busy both rehearsing and preparing for a busy summer schedule as she performs at festivals and theatre along with her usual dance circuit. She also had a big homecoming concert last June at Eastwood Park Theatre, Giffnock, Glasgow.
This new world of country music that the younger generation are now so much part of looks set to carry on to bigger and better things in the future as Lisa McHugh climbs the ladder on her musical journey. She recently commented “I always look forward to putting on my best performance and meeting with my fans and friends when my show finishes, this way I get to sign autographs, have a chat and have some nice photographs taken.”
