An image that recently came to light was from way back in 1969. It features the Maguire family from Aughersakilla. Mr. and Mrs. John Maguire were celebrating the Silver Jubilee Wedding Anniversary with their 16 children (7 boys and 9 girls). It received a great reaction on Facebook and would make a great present to a member of the Maguire family who may want to relive that memory. See below for the image.
Sporting events always find a way of etching themselves into our memory, whether you were on the winning team or simply a spectator, we all have some memories of attending a county final or a taking part in community games.
