Fatal road traffic collision between fenagh and ballinamore

Gardaí at Carrick-on-Shannon Co Leitrim are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at 3pm this afternoon (Wednesday, March 18).

The collision occurred between Fenagh and Ballinamore on the R202 when a car and a motorcycle were in collision. The male motorcyclist in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to Sligo General Hospital.

No other injuries were reported.

The road remains closed to facilitate a forensic collision investigation and local diversions are in place.
