Farnham estate for sale for €26M

The Farnham estate has been put on the market for €26 million by a receiver.
The Farnham Estate Golf and Spa Resort said in April that the company behind the resort had gone into receivership but said that all bookings at the hotel will continue to be honoured and that all jobs are safe and that it was “business as usual”.
Mr Aiden Murphy of Crowe Horwath Accountants Dublin has been engaged to act as receiver to the property.
The estate agent, Savills, which is handling the sale on behalf of the receiver has a guide price of €26 million on the 1,250-acre Cavan estate, which includes a four-star 158-bedroom hotel.
The luxury location features an 18-hole championship golf course, a conference and events centre that can accommodate 380 delegates. It has 11 meeting rooms, a spa and a leisure centre.
“The hotel is trading exceptionally well with further growth forecast and is being sold with or without management agreement or franchise, as required,” Savills said.
