Shane Dolan has been missing for two weeks

Garda hunt for missing Cavan man

Shane Dolan (28) from Cortoon, Corlough was last week shortly after 6pm on Sunday, October 16 whilst walking on the road between Bawnboy and Ballyconnell. He was seen wearing grey Brookland-branded hooded top, dark coloured jeans and hiking books.

He was also seen carrying a green-coloured Corlough GAA sports bag and was wearing a florescent hi-visibility vest.

Described at 5'8 inches in height, with black short hair, and of slim build between 11-12 stone in weight, as well as having a noticeable distinctive walk, both his family and gardai have expressed concern for the young man's safety.

He had been living in Corlough since January of this year, having previously resided in the Milltown village area.

Gardaí say Shane his arms and head may shake while walking, and are particularly interested in speaking with B&B owners or hotels where Shane may have stayed with over the past fortnight.

They further stated that he doesn’t have a phone, nor has he accessed any bank accounts since his disappearance.
